Mt. Whitney, CA trip was Apr 15 – Apr 19, 2009. The Last Well’s third climb was a great introduction to the sport of mountaineering for beginning climbers, as well as a great trip for seasoned mountaineers. Mt Whitney is in California’s Eastern Sierra Nevada range near the town of Lone Pine. It is the highest peak in the lower 48, at 14,505ft. The Last Well took a 5-day trip which included overnight high alpine camping. Twelve of 18 climbers summitted this beautiful peak in perfect early spring Sierra conditions. Each climber raised a minimum of $500.
